"These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in Group Tests conducted on Emeasure Box. By enrolling in any Group Test, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by all applicable rules regarding eligibility, enrollment, scoring, rankings, prize distribution, dispute resolution, refunds, and platform policies."
1. Test Enrollment
Participation in the Group Test is available only to registered users of the platform.
Users can join a Group Test through the following methods:
a. Direct Enrollment:
Users can enroll in a scheduled Group Test from the test page by paying the required fees. Once enrolled, users can share the test with others via WhatsApp or by copying link.
b. Invite Link Enrollment:
- Users may also join a Group Test using a valid invite link or invite code shared by another participant.
- Invited users must enroll at least 3 minutes before the test starts.
Once enrolment is successfully completed, the enrollment fee and platform fees are final and non-refundable.
The platform charges two types of fees for Group Tests:
- Enrollment Fee – the participation fee for joining the test
- Platform Fee – a service fee charged by the platform
Both the Enrollment Fee and Platform Fee are non-refundable once the user has successfully enrolled in the test.
C. Join Button Availability:
After successful enrollment, the Join button will become available 2 minutes before the scheduled test start time. Participants may enter the test only when the Join button is enabled on the test page.
The platform reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or disqualify any participant who violates the rules or attempts to misuse the system.
2. What Happens if Only One User Joins
If fewer than two participants are enrolled in a Group Test, the platform may cancel, reschedule, or otherwise manage the test at its sole discretion.
3. Test Format
The test format, including the total number of questions, total marks, and test duration, will be displayed in the test card or test details section on the platform.
Tests may include different types of questions, such as:
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Numerical-based questions
- Mixed question formats
Negative marking will be applied according to the exam pattern defined for the test.
Participants must complete the test within the given duration.
Once an answer is submitted, it cannot be modified or changed.
For Numerical-Based Questions: Answers will be evaluated based on their numeric value. For example, if the correct answer is 4, entries such as 4, 04, and 4.0 will all be treated as correct. However, answers with a different numeric value will be considered incorrect.
4. Winner Selection
Winners will be determined based on the final leaderboard rankings after the test ends.
Ranking will be calculated using the following criteria:
- Total marks obtained
- Accuracy of answers
- Time taken to complete the test
The final rankings will be displayed on the leaderboard after evaluation is completed.
Rankings will primarily be based on total marks obtained. In case of identical scores, accuracy and completion time will be used according to the tie-break rules.
5. Tie-Break Rules
If two or more participants score the same marks, ranking will be decided using the following criteria:
- Higher accuracy
- Less time taken to complete the test
If participants still remain tied after applying the above criteria, the platform may:
- Conduct a tie-break test, or
- Distribute the prize amount equally among the tied participants.
6. Prize Distribution
- Prize details will be displayed on the test leaderboard.
- Prizes will be awarded according to the ranking positions mentioned in the test prize structure.
- Prize amount will be credited to the winner’s wallet after 24 hours after the result declaration, provided no challenge or dispute has been raised.
- "Prize distribution may be delayed if a result challenge is under review. The status of ongoing challenges will be reflected on the Group Test dashboard. Once resolved, any final adjustments to scores or rankings will be updated, and all participants will be notified via email."
- Users may be required to provide valid identification or account details for prize withdrawal.
- Withdrawal rules, minimum withdrawal limits, and payment methods (such as wallet transfer, UPI, and bank transfer) may apply.
6.1. Group Tests (Prize-Distribution)
Group Tests on Embox involve a two-tier payment structure:
a. Enrollment Fee
The Enrollment Fee is the amount paid by each participant to enroll in a Group Test. The entire Enrollment Fee collected from eligible participants is allocated towards the Prize Pool for that particular Group Test.
The Enrollment Fee is separate from any applicable Platform Fee, if mentioned during enrollment.
Prize Pool
The total Prize Pool is calculated based on the Enrollment Fee collected from the participants of the respective Group Test.
Prize Distribution:
- First topper: 60% of the prize pool
- Second topper: 40% of the prize pool
The prize distribution is based on the final eligible results of the Group Test, subject to the applicable result verification, challenge, and dispute-resolution provisions.
b. Platform Fee
- A separate service charge that covers technical infrastructure and test administration.
- This fee is also non-refundable.
Non-Refundable Enrollment Fee
Once a participant successfully enrolls in a Group Test, the Enrollment Fee is strictly non-refundable. This is because the amount is allocated towards the Prize Pool of that specific Group Test.
The Enrollment Fee will not be refunded due to:
- Change of mind after enrollment
- Failure to participate in the scheduled Group Test
- Late joining or missing the test
- Failure to complete or submit the test
- Technical or connectivity issues on the participant's side
- Leaving the Group Test after enrollment
- Any other participant-related reason that does not qualify for a refund under the applicable Terms & Conditions
Participants are advised to review the Group Test details, including the test schedule, duration, Enrollment Fee, and other applicable conditions, before completing enrollment.
In cases where a Group Test is cancelled by Vidyx or cannot be conducted due to circumstances attributable to Vidyx, the applicable resolution will be handled in accordance with the platform's cancellation and refund policy.
7. Result Challenge
- Participants may challenge the result or question evaluation within 24 hours of result declaration.
- Each user may challenge a test only once. Once a challenge is submitted, it cannot be modified or resubmitted.
- Challenges are accepted only within 24 hours of your result declaration.
- The platform will review the challenge and update the results if necessary. The revised results will be treated as final.
8. Question or Answer Errors
If an error is found in a question or answer key (such as incorrect options, duplicate questions, or evaluation mistakes), the platform reserves the right to:
- Correct the error
- Recalculate scores
- Update rankings and winners accordingly
In such cases, previously announced results may change.
The corrected results will be considered final and binding.
9. Bonus Time (If Applicable)
- Bonus Time: Earn bonus time by answering correctly within 60% of the allotted time.
- Bonus time can be used after 60% of the allotted time has elapsed.
Bonus time rules may vary depending on the test and will be clearly displayed on the test instruction page.
10. Technical Issues Clause
The platform shall not be responsible for internet connectivity issues, device failures, browser incompatibility, power outages, or other technical problems on the participant's side that may affect test performance.
11. Exam Conduct & Prohibited Activities
To ensure a fair and secure testing environment, participants must comply with the following rules during the Group Test:
- No Screenshots: Taking screenshots, screen recordings, or capturing any part of the test content is strictly prohibited.
- No Copying: Copying, downloading, sharing, or reproducing any question, answer, image, or other test content is prohibited.
- Stay on the Test Window: Participants must remain on the test page throughout the examination. Switching to another browser tab, application, or window may be treated as suspicious activity.
- Automatic Submission: If the platform detects any prohibited activity, including but not limited to screen capture attempts, copying test content, excessive tab switching, leaving the test window, or any other suspicious behavior, the test may be automatically submitted immediately without prior notice.
- Fair Use: Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage through unauthorized software, browser extensions, automation tools, AI tools, multiple accounts, impersonation, or any other unfair means may result in immediate disqualification.
- Platform Rights: The platform reserves the right to investigate suspicious activities and may suspend, cancel, invalidate test results, withhold prizes, or permanently restrict access to the platform if a participant is found to have violated these rules.
Final Decision Clause
The platform's decision regarding rankings, score calculations, prize distribution, disputes, and interpretation of these Terms shall be final and binding.
